When I just want to swim in the pool, in my experience, the mid-ship pool deck can be busy with deck chairs claimed early in the morning. Yet there's usually plenty of space in the pool for me to enjoy my dip. If you don’t mind spending a little cash for a unique experience, then you should take the family to the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast. For just $6 per person, you can enter the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss. Accompanied by the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and friends, you can feast on a colorful breakfast. With menu items like Horton’s cereal crusted french toast, pancake stacks, steak and eggs, and of course, green eggs and ham, what’s not to love?
There are ample blue beach loungers near and above both pools on Decks 10, 11 and 12. The Sports Court, mainly where we saw games of pickup basketball, is also on Deck 12. Nearly every night of the cruise brings a different themed deck party (expect White Hot, '80s, Motown and more). The turnout for these was always sizeable, with young and older cruisers curious about the commotion and eager to join the dancing.
In the gym, you'll find a wide range of cardio equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowing machines. There's a studio in the middle of the gym for classes, most of which carry a fee. Sign-ups begin on the first day of the cruise and tend to book up early, so if you want to get your spinning fix, stop by shortly after boarding. SkyZone is a 2-decks high indoor trampoline park (also first at sea) via a partnership with Sky Zone. Sky Zone (2004-founded) is a Los Angeles-based chain of indoor family centers located in USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, India, UK, UAE, among others. Some Sky Zone parks have rock climbing and warped walls, even a laser tag course. Sky Zone attractions include connected trampolines, pits filled with foam blocks, trampoline-based dodgeball. A standard land-based Sky Zone park consists of several courts with main trampolines placed horizontally and surrounded by trampolines placed at angles (thus serving as court's walls).
Karaoke competitions, games, even a cruise prom are provided, but we noticed that most teens enjoyed hanging out on the stairwell in the general vicinity between Decks 6 and 7 forward, as an alternative to the club.
